In 1959, Dr. Deming spoke to 300 Japanese CEOs on the power of quality and the use of statistical quality control and his work was the catalyst for the success of Japan – going from making “junk” to becoming the world’s largest industrial power. It took 20 years for America to find Dr. Deming, some, maybe most still have not fully understood the power of Dr. Deming’s work.
